As a teacher mom, I’m always looking for ways I can gift people around myself and my daughters without breaking the bank. Sometimes, it’s plant gift tags, home baked gift ideas like my chocolate peanut butter chip cookies, dehydrated fruit gifts, teacher snack gift ideas, or other teacher gift ideas. But an easy go-to that we just started doing a couple years ago is this idea for lip balm gift tags.
For years, I had seen the “your the balm” gift idea floating around. Well, I’ve taken that idea and expanded on it with my set of 14 lip balm gifts. And these are just Chapstick gift tags. You can also use these for Burt’s Bee’s gift ideas or for other brands.

The first year, I simply printed out some simple gift tags in Google Docs, printed them out on colorful cardstock, and cut them. (You will see that simple version below in some of the photos.) Later, I decided to put some time into it and create a variety of tags – which are the ones offered to you below in the free download.
When Can You Use These Free Lip Balm Gift Tags?
We made sure to include a variety of free lip balm gift tags so you can use them throughout the year, from back to school teacher gifts to “just because.”
This school year, my daughters and I picked out lip balm in bulk on Amazon – Burt’s Bees lip balms and Chapstick in bulk – and little keychain lip balm pouches and gifted those together with our tags. We were making gifts for the girls’ teachers, and for a certain subset of my coworkers.
Some of the coworkers are men. I wasn’t sure if men wear lip balm or not so I put a survey out on my social media. And….the answers were divided in half. Haha! So I decided to gift even my male coworkers lip balm anyway, just in case they are some of the men who wear Chapstick and lip balm. I even came across lip balm for men!
When buying in bulk, we spent less than $2 a gift. If you want to save even more money, you can place the lip balms in 2×3 jewelry pouches as I did in the image above. The sleeves fit standard lip balms perfectly!
