Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 lb Deli ham
  • 6 Pineapple rings drained
  • 6 Maraschino cherries
  • 8 tbsp Unsalted butter melted
  • ½ cup Teriyaki sauce
  • ¼ cup Brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar
  • 2 tbsp Sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cut the slider buns in half, horizontally, keeping the bottom buns attached and the top buns attached (if possible).
  • Place the bottom half of the buns in a baking dish.
  • Layer each bun with a slice of pineapple deli ham, topped with a pineapple ring and a maraschino cherry.
  • In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  • Brush the tops of the sliders with the teriyaki brown sugar sauce, ensuring each one is generously coated.
  • Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheddar all over the sliders.
  • Place the other half of the buns on top, creating sandwich sliders.
  • Brush the remaining sauce over the tops of the sliders.
  • Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds over the sliders for added texture and flavor.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the sliders are heated through and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. You may need to gently run a knife through the sandwiches - at the natural divisions of the rolls - to ensure the sliders will pull apart easily.
