Equipment

  • 1 air fryer

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Oats old fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp All purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Light brown sugar
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp Butter melted and divided; salted or unsalted
  • 4 Apples Honeycrisp; large

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon of butter until well combined. It should have a wet, sand-like consistency that stays together when packed into a spoon.
  • Cut each apple in half and use a spoon or melon baller to remove the core, leaving an indent about the size of 2 tablespoons.
  • Brush the remaining butter evenly over the inside of each apple.
  • Divide the filling evenly among the apples. Spoon into the cored section and use the back of the spoon to firmly pack.
  • *Place the filled apples into the air fryer basket and cook for 12-15 minutes. When done, the apples should be lightly brown and fork-tender. Feel free to cook for additional time if you prefer a softer apple.
  • Allow 10 minutes for apples to cool a bit and for the topping to fully crisp before serving.
  • Add vanilla ice cream or topping of your choice.

Notes

* You may need to add additional time based on your air fryer size, power, and how soft you’d like the apples.
