  • 3 Eggs
  • ½ cup Vegetable oil

Green and White Frosting (Divided)

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 3 tbsp Milk possibly 4 tbsp more
  • 4 cups Powdered sugar
  • Green food coloring

Sprinkles

  • Non-pareil sprinkles rainbow colored
  • Football candy sprinkles

Instructions

Making White Chocolate Goal Posts

  • Melt white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds. Next, continue in increments of 15 seconds until the mixture is smooth.
  • Dip a piping tip into the melted chocolate and trace the goal posts onto a piece of parchment paper. Allow chocolate to cool and harden. (You can also pour the melted chocolate into a Ziploc bag, snip a tiny corner, and pipe from there.)

Making Vanilla Cupcakes

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a muffin pan with paper liners.
  • In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, eggs, and oil. Beat until well combined.
  • Pour batter into prepared muffin cups, filling each about ⅔ full.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 14-16 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.

Making Frosting

  • In a large bowl, cream together butter, salt, and vanilla extract. Gradually add powdered sugar, alternating with milk, until frosting reaches desired consistency.
  • Divide frosting into two bowls. Tint the second half of frosting green with food coloring. Leave the first bowl half white.

Decorating the Football Field Topping

  • To assemble cupcakes, frost half of each cupcake with white frosting. Immediately dip the frosted cupcake into a shallow bowl of rainbow non-pareils. so that the white half is covered with sprinkles. Repeat with remaining cupcakes.
  • Frost the remaining half of each cupcake with green frosting. Use a grass decorating tip (or a large star tip) to pipe grass onto the cupcakes. Place a football candy sprinkle in the center of each cupcake.
  • Carefully insert the white chocolate goal posts into the grass frosting.
  • Enjoy!
