Making White Chocolate Goal Posts
Melt white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds. Next, continue in increments of 15 seconds until the mixture is smooth.
Dip a piping tip into the melted chocolate and trace the goal posts onto a piece of parchment paper. Allow chocolate to cool and harden. (You can also pour the melted chocolate into a Ziploc bag, snip a tiny corner, and pipe from there.)
Making Vanilla Cupcakes
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a muffin pan with paper liners.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, eggs, and oil. Beat until well combined.
Pour batter into prepared muffin cups, filling each about ⅔ full.
Bake in preheated oven for 14-16 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
Making Frosting
In a large bowl, cream together butter, salt, and vanilla extract. Gradually add powdered sugar, alternating with milk, until frosting reaches desired consistency.
Divide frosting into two bowls. Tint the second half of frosting green with food coloring. Leave the first bowl half white.
Decorating the Football Field Topping
To assemble cupcakes, frost half of each cupcake with white frosting. Immediately dip the frosted cupcake into a shallow bowl of rainbow non-pareils. so that the white half is covered with sprinkles. Repeat with remaining cupcakes.
Frost the remaining half of each cupcake with green frosting. Use a grass decorating tip (or a large star tip) to pipe grass onto the cupcakes. Place a football candy sprinkle in the center of each cupcake.
Carefully insert the white chocolate goal posts into the grass frosting.
Enjoy!
