Edible Sugar Cookie Dough with Sprinkles

This edible sugar cookie dough with sprinkles is just as easy as whipping up your favorite cookie - but with faster prep time since you won't be baking it!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Flour heat-treated
  • ½ cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp Heavy cream possibly 3 tbsp
  • ¼ cup Sprinkles

Instructions

  • Add the butter to a large mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer until creamy.
  • Add the powdered sugar and mix until smooth.
  • Add the vanilla extract and mix until well incorporated.
  • Add the flour and mix until fully incorporated - the mixture will be dry.
  • Add the heavy cream, one tablespoon at a time, and mix until a soft dough is formed.
  • Add the sprinkles and, using clean hands, knead the dough until the sprinkles are fully incorporated. 
  • Scoop out the dough and serve!

Notes

How to heat-treat flour:
Start with regular all-purpose flour. Spread flour in a thin layer on a rimmed baking sheet which is lined with parchment paper. Pop into the oven at 350 degrees and bake for about 8-10 minutes, stirring often.
Add about 10 minutes to your cooking/preparation time if you need to heat-treat your flour first.
