- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 4 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs beaten
- 1 cup chopped pecans optional
In mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients (except for pecans).
Add all wet ingredients to bowl.
Mix until smooth and well-blended.
If using pecans, add them and mix again for 20-30 seconds.
Preheat waffle maker.
Once waffle maker is adequately heated, add batter to each grid. (You can use a measuring cup to do this, filling most of the way. Do not overfill the grids as batter may run over the edges.)
As you remove each group of cooked waffles from the machine, you may place them on a baking pan in a 300 degree oven while the rest of the waffles cook. This will keep them warm.
Garnish with syrup, butter, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit.
