I’m excited to share with you about our stay at Starlight Haven Cabins in Hot Springs National Park. Our family enjoyed a wonderful post-holidays getaway to these charming treehouse cabins in Hot Springs National Park. To be honest, I questioned that maybe the timing was bad – following all the holiday frenzy. But it was just the opposite! We were able to sit back and relax and enjoy our time together with the business of the holiday season behind us. Read on for details of these luxury treehouse cabins in Hot Springs! If you are searching for great vacation spots, these modern treehouses tucked into the tree tops of Hot Springs might be for you!
Disclosure: Originally, I partnered with Starlight Havens for an Instagram and Facebook campaign. This blog post was not part of our contracted collaboration. However, we enjoyed our stay so much I decided to write this post to share more details of this vacation option in Hot Springs.
Where Are the Treehouse Cabins in Hot Springs?
The Starlight Haven treehouse cabins are located just a 6-7 minute drive off of Central Avenue in downtown Hot Springs. The area feels very remote. Yet, you can be at your favorite downtown location in minutes. It is the best of both worlds!
You Said “Remote.” How Remote?
These luxury cabins in Hot Springs National Park are in a gated area. To enter, you must have the code for the gate. One you arrive, you do have to go up some steep narrow roads to arrive to the cabins. Four-wheel drive vehicles handle the roads great. Smaller cars may need to be a bit more careful. If you have the choice of which vehicle to take, a vehicle with more ground clearance might be preferred. However, we saw a Tesla and several other small cars parked at nearby cabins that seemed to have made the trip just fine.
The cabins are well-spaced. There is the definite feeling of privacy and peace but neighbors are a short walk away. So if you are someone who wants a getaway but still enjoys the security of having other people (neighbors) at a distance, this place is for you!
What Amenities are Offered at These Hot Springs Cabins?
Our cabin, named Firefly Ridge, is set up studio style – an open arrangement with the kitchen, living area, and bedroom visible from the front door. The rustic beauty of the place is evident from the road, but we were really taken aback when we opened the front doors. The craftsmanship and beauty of the logs pairs well with the coziness of the fluffy bed and the quaint living area.
Since we entered the day after Christmas, we were greeted by a holiday wreath on the front door and a rustic Christmas tree in a hammered metal bucket in the living room. Soft music was playing and the fire in the fireplace was crackling when we walked in.
The wonderful ambiance was such a welcome after all the December chaos!
The Kitchen in These Treehouse Cabins in Hot Springs
The kitchen comes with a full refrigerator, built in stove, coffee pot, microwave, and sink. Aside from a dishwasher, this cabin has a full kitchen. We found our cabin stocked with all the cooking utensils, pans, and dishes we needed. There was even a stock supply of basic seasonings and condiments for our convenience.
A drop-leaf table to the side of the kitchen seats two to four people.
The Living Room
The living room in the Firefly Ridge cabin features a leather sleeper sofa and a large lounge chair with ottoman in front of the fireplace. In the corner is a basket of DVDs and board games for entertainment.
Since we planned to bring our two girls with us on the trip, ages 10 and 8, we were specifically assigned this cabin because of the sleeper sofa. Our girls slept comfortably for two nights on the pull-out bed without complaint. They loved sleeping in front of the fire!
The Bedroom
The bedroom features a king sized bed. With an antique armoire on one side and a small electric heater on the other, the bedroom is styled with simplistic charm. The bed is comfortable for sleeping, reading, or (in my case) blogging!
The Bathroom
The bathroom in our Starlight Haven is larger than I would have expected in a cabin. The bathroom is decked out with a furniture style vanity and has a spa like quality to it. A basket offers extra towels and hooks line the walls leading to the grand shower.
The Back Deck (With Hot Tub!) at Our Starlight Haven Cabin
I would definitely consider the back deck an extension of the living space in these rustic cabins. Our back deck featured a sturdy rustic swing, a grill, and a hot tub.
Even though Arkansas had just seen a week of record-breaking temps, we weren’t too scared for a dip in the hot tub on a 30 degree night! We enjoyed looking up straight to the stars above the tree tops while relaxing in the hot tub. If you plan a trip to the cabins, be sure to pack your swimsuits! Confession time…in my holiday rush, I forgot to pack our swimsuits! The Hubs made the trip back toward Little Rock to get our swimsuits because there was no way we were missing out on the hot tub. And in the heart of winter, I knew we wouldn’t be able to find swimsuits at any of the Hot Springs stores.
Remember that children should be monitored at all times around any water body – including hot tubs. My husband and I allowed our daughters to join us in the hot tub while we were using it. We only let them stay in for a little while, and they were supervised at all times. They were not allowed to be in the hot tub without us present. And we kept the hot tub covered at all times when it wasn’t it use.
Our hot tub was super clean – which is an impressive feat with all the wind and wild leaves Arkansas had been battling. The temperature was perfect. If you are hoping to find Hot Springs vacation rentals with hot tub options, this is your place!
The grill is a simple style that most anyone should be able to operate with ease. The kitchen had everything we needed to take out to the deck – long-handled spatulas, cookie sheets, etc. – for a nice grilled meal.
I enjoyed having my morning coffee on the deck of our Starlight Haven cabin and taking in the scenic views. The swing is a great place to catch a bird’s eye view of the beautiful landscape back there. You can just cozy up under a blanket on the swing and enjoy the natural beauty and sounds of nature. This patio recalls the reason Arkansas is called The Natural State!
