If you like raspberries and lemonade, scroll on down for this simple raspberry lemonade ginger ale cocktail – loaded with raspberry and ginger flavors! This raspberry ginger ale cocktail is perfect if you are wanting a light lemonade drink with alcohol. Not interested in cocktails? Simply omit the Prosecco for a refreshing raspberry lemonade perfect for the whole family.
Often, it’s not until these hot months come around that we remember how refreshing a good cold drink can be?
Luckily, Simply Lemonade with Raspberry comes to the rescue for a quick throw-together cocktail or punch! We started out with Sprite in this recipe when we first started playing around with ingredients and ratios. But we eventually settled on ginger ale as ginger and raspberry pair well together!
Fun Fact: Until creating this drink, I had not tasted a drop of ginger ale in over ten years – since I was pregnant with my first child. Because non-stop all-day morning sickness plus everyone pushing ginger ale at me for six months didn’t leave a good taste in my mouth afterward – literally!
But for a good cocktail, I decided to finally give it another chance!
Ingredients
- Simply Lemonade with Raspberry – sold in the refrigerated juices section at the grocery store
- Ginger Ale
- Prosecco
- Fresh raspberries and slices of lemon – for garnish
Making Raspberry Lemonade Ginger Ale Cocktail
First, add on third parts chilled Simply Lemonade with Raspberry to on third parts chilled Prosecco and one third parts ginger ale in a large pitcher and stir it up. In each glass, you will pour the chilled Ginger ale raspberry lemonade over fresh raspberries. Garnish a lemon wedge on the side of each glass for some extra flair.
You can add ice if you choose. I personally just prefer mine chilled with no ice since the ice melts and dilutes drinks so fast on these warm nights.
Tip: Freeze the raspberries. Tuck the frozen raspberries into the bottom of your glass! The frozen berries will help chill the drink.
See? I told you it is simple!
Substitutions for Prosecco
If desired, you can substitute a different sparkling wine for Prosecco (which originated from Prosecco, Spain) or champagne. Did you know that real champagne is actually a sparkling wine from a specific region (Champagne, of course) in France?
The taste of the drink will change a bit depending on which one you use. I would suggest slowly adding in the substitution and check for taste as you go.
Making Raspberry Lemonade Ginger Ale with No Alcohol
For various reasons, you might prefer to forego the alcohol. Simply switch out the champagne or Prosecco with ginger ale and you are good to go! I would adjust the ratios to one part raspberry lemonade and one part ginger ale.
