Hey, y’all! I’m back again to tell you about our favorite places to eat at Branson Landing. If you read my last post on Branson, you know we are big fans of staying and hanging out in Branson Landing with kids. All the restaurants I am listing are on the water – Lake Taneycomo – and that is a big part of why they make my list. You just can’t beat the ambiance of eating at a Branson Landing restaurant over the water!
This post was updated in June, 2024.
The food has always been good at every place we have visited. Some of the places I am going to mention are chain restaurants. However, it is the atmosphere of the places to eat at Branson Landing that sets each Branson Landing restaurant on a higher level. You do have to remember that the Branson Landing is right on the lake so it is possible to see flies lingering around at any place that you might choose to eat. But that is an issue in most places where water is the main attraction.
Joe’s Crab Shack – Favorite Places to Eat at Branson Landing
You just can’t beat sitting outside at Joe’s Crab Shack and watching the Branson Landing water and fire show while you eat. (And if you aren’t sure what fire and water show I’m talking about, check out my last post.) If you’ve ever been to a Joe’s Crab Shack, you know the atmosphere is a whole lotta fun. There is just something so refreshing about the laid-back vibe of the place. I find the pricing to be quite typical of most chain restaurants popular in tourist areas. The children’s menu is fairly-priced and even includes a cup of ice cream for dessert. In fact, my mom ordered one of the crab leg steam pots off of the kids’ menu and it was plenty of food for her.
As for me, I am a crab cake kind of gal.
Although my photos on this visit were taken indoors, know the deck outside of Joe’s Crab Shack is angled perfectly to see the fountains and the Branson Landing water and fire show in the evenings.
Black Oak Grill in Branson Landing
We like to venture for lunch at Black Oak Grill. The menu featured an array of Americana offerings. We especially enjoy the pot roast with seasonal veggies and mashed potatoes. Little One often eats more at this meal than she does anywhere else!
The decor inside carries a rustic sophistication with a nod to Americana style. Pricing seems pretty reasonable – especially the lunch pricing.
White River Fish House in Branson Landing – One of Our Favorite Places to Eat at Branson Landing
I don’t think I could recommend a visit to Branson Landing without visiting White River Fish House! Not only is this my favorite Branson Landing restaurant, but I would dare to say it is one of the best restaurants in Branson. Indeed, in past years, the restaurant was voted “best restaurant in Branson” in 417 Magazine.
(Update: our last visit in July, 2023 was a bit different than with our past visits. The manager seemed checked out, and the restaurant was super understaffed. We waited a very long time for a table and then our food. However, our waitress was wonderful and the food was great, as usual. I always try to give grace because it may have been that we simply caught the place on an unusually bad night. We will definitely go back again next time.)
The atmosphere at White River Fish House in Branson Landing is exactly what you would expect of a fish house on the river – rustic with a touch of shabby chic with lots of old wood, old metal, lanterns, and vintage accessories. The restaurant, actually a floating barge, is operated by Bass Pro Shops. The back room is so fun with an assortment of mismatched tables and chairs. And the walls to the ceiling are covered in eye-catching rustic decor.
The food is so delicious! I want to lap up not only my own plate but everyone else’s!
The skillet cornbread is TO DIE for!
I used to go for the blackened catfish etouffee, but it seems to no longer be a part of the menu. Now, I often get the Cajun chicken pasta. My husband tends to go for the fried shrimp platter or the shrimp tacos, and my mom likes the brown sugar glazed salmon. Most of the pricing seems comparable with many other seafood restaurants.
Our girls love to feed the ducks as we are leaving this rustic ole’ Branson Landing restaurant.
Salt Grass Steak House – Favorite Restaurants at Branson Landing
Salt Grass Steak House is a chain restaurant, and we have a new one in my own city. But my first experience at Salt Grass was at this Branson location. Any wait staff we’ve had there have been fabulous and we enjoy sitting outside on the patio. The view is awesome.
The view of the water is great from the outside patio. Like with many other sit-down restaurants at Branson Landing, children receive colors and a coloring sheet/menu to keep them entertained while they wait.
It’s so nice to sit out over the water!
Our food has always been super tasty with delicious bread and salads/soups to accompany the entrees.
Pricing runs in mid-teens to mid-twenties price range for most of the entrees.
Cantina Laredo – Favorite Places to Eat at Branson Landing
It’s not a real food guide if I don’t throw in a little Mexican food. I can’t visit a town and not have some Mexican food. Cantina Laredo is a chain with a location right here in my own town so I am familiar with the menu offerings.
In fact, we had my bridal luncheon in my city in the party room at a Cantina Laredo. But this Branson Landing restaurant is the first Cantina Laredo I ever ate at some six or seven years ago. And it’s extra special with its patio on the water.
Don’t even think you’ll ever get me to stray from my beloved enchiladas Veracruz. Nope. Won’t happen.
Guy Fieri’s Branson Kitchen + Bar – Favorite Branson Restaurants
UPDATED ADDITION: JUNE, 2024
One of the newer restaurants on the scene is Guy Fieri’s Branson Kitchen + Bar – which we are adding in this June, 2024 update. See how much older/bigger my girls are in this latest update?! Children don’t keep, y’all!
Guy Fieri’s in Branson Landing will definitely be on our do again list when we return to Branson next time. I love the energy of the place and the, and how can you go wrong with a place that serves trash can nachos?!
The burger we had was outstanding, and the French fry trio is so clever!
And there you have it – my six favorite restaurants on Branson Landing. You can find some delicious food with the perfect casual waterside and family-friendly atmosphere at Branson Landing. When trying to find places to eat at Branson Landing, it’s best to check the Landing’s website to see updates and check for new Branson Landing restaurants. I can’t wait to check out the Paddlewheel on our next visit!
Well, did I miss any of your favorite restaurants on Branson Landing? Do you have any other suggestions for this list?
