Use a Low Ball Glass for a Chill Vibe on Halloween
Different types of cocktail glasses can give a completely different effect when it comes to cocktails. Traditionally, margaritas are served in a glass called a margarita glass, which has a distinctive shape that includes a wide rim and a long stem. However, a lowball glass can also be used to serve a margarita, especially if you prefer a more casual or relaxed presentation for your spooky margarita.
The lowball glass, also known as a rocks glass, is a short tumbler that is often used for serving spirits on the rocks or cocktails that are served without ice. The wide and sturdy base of the lowball glass makes it a great choice for serving margaritas, as it provides stability and prevents spillage. (Note that our margarita recipe DOES use ice in the rocks glasses.)
While a tall margarita glass with a stem is the traditional choice for serving margaritas, a lowball glass can be a great alternative that offers a more laid-back and relaxed presentation, while still allowing the drink to be enjoyed to its fullest. As you can see, we are using a low ball glass here in our photos for this recipe. However, your presentation is YOUR presentation. If you prefer the traditional tall margarita glass, go for it!
