Today was the perfect day for a gender reveal! And what toddler wouldn’t love a gender reveal with balloons in a box?
To be honest, I didn’t have my act together on having a gender reveal idea pulled together until we pulled out of the ultrasound clinic. My mind was racing as to how we were going to reveal to Scooter Britches that she was getting a new….???
Okay. You already know what color these balloons are. But just pretend with me, heh?
We rushed to the store for a box and some letter cut-outs. Had I planned ahead, I would probably have chosen different colors. But the store we went into only had these metallic ones in primary colors. They had to work because this Mama was ready for a gender reveal! We ran to Hallmark for balloons. I put the box together while The Hubs went to pick up Scooter Britches from daycare. I thought it was just perfect that she was dressed in her bright yellow romper – perfect for a baby brother or a baby sister! One of my closest friends joined us so she could play photographer.
Finally, we were ready.
Almost there, sweet girl! Open that box!
Nope. Not yet.
Yes! You are finally getting the magnitude of this situation, Sis!
Oh, my! Look at those “boons!” |
Growing up, I always wished I had a sister. Heck, I still do. I am super excited SB is going to have this opportunity! SB is twenty months old, and by the time her sister is born, they will be right at two years apart. I hope my two girlies are as thick as thieves in childhood and in adulthood.
What is this poor guy going to do with a house load of girls?
Oops. Someone got excited and fell in a mud hole. |
Thanks to Auntie Em for snapping the pictures! |
