Is there any time that a delicious slider isn’t welcome at a party? I can’t think of any! These pineapple pulled pork sliders are made with pulled pork, pineapple chunks, and Hawaiian barbecue sauce for a tangy slider recipe worth sharing at your next gathering! We use leftover pulled pork for these sliders, and they always turn out amazing!
At every party I have ever brought these pineapple pork sliders to, they have been scarfed down! Granted, not everyone likes pineapple so I occasionally leave off the pineapple on a section of the pan. But most people don’t hesitate on any of it!

Pulled Pork for These Pineapple Pork Sliders
When it comes to making these pineapple pork sliders, I really recommend smoking your own pork if it is something you are comfortable with. Fresh pulled pork just can’t be beat! My husband has become somewhat of a smoker master over the years. However, if you are unable to smoke your own pork, you can easily find pulled pork for sale at many grocery delis. You can also oven roast or slow cook a pork roast in your slow cooker and use that.
Where to Find The Sauce
The Sweet Baby Ray’s Hawaiian Barbecue Sauce brings a tangy sweet and spicy flavoring to these tasty pulled pork sliders. But it can be tricky to find it sometimes. I usually order it online in advance – from Walmart or Amazon. But my local Kroger does seem to keep it in stock most of the time.
Luckily, the Sweet Baby Ray’s website has a handy barbecue sauce locator tool on its website that helps you find a store near you that carries any of the many barbecue sauces it sells! So helpful!
Now, if you can’t find the Hawaiian barbecue sauce, you might just use one of your other favorite barbecue flavors and add the pineapple. I would also add in one teaspoon of soy sauce, one teaspoon of brown sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger to the butter sauce to help give that Hawaiian flavoring.
Our other favorite Sweet Baby Ray’s sauce is the Sweet ‘n Spicy which I have used on my pork sliders many times over! You can find this variety at most any large grocery store.
How to Make Pineapple Pulled Pork Sliders with Hawaiian Rolls
First, I preheat the oven to 350°F. Then, I slice a package of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in an ungreased 9×13 baking dish.
Then, I whisk melted butter with garlic powder. I brush just a bit of the butter sauce over the bottom buns, saving the majority for the top rolls.
Next, I mix 3 cups of cooked pulled pork with one cup of the Hawaiian barbecue sauce. You can add a bit more, but you don’t want the meat overly wet as that can make the bottom of the sliders soggy.
Next, I evenly spread the meat across all the buns.
The pineapple bits and the cheese (if using) are layered over the pork. Note that I am not using cheese in these particular photos.
Finally, I place the bun tops over each slider and brush on the rest of the butter sauce before sprinkling on some parsley.
I cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the sliders are heated through. If desired, you can remove the foil and pop the pan back into the oven for another 2-5 minutes to brown the top bread piece just a bit.
Once done, let cool for a few minutes before slicing into individual sliders and serving. These pulled pork pineapple sliders with Hawaiian rolls are perfect for a quick and easy lunch or dinner and are sure to be a hit at any party!

Easy Pineapple and Pulled Pork Sliders
Ingredients
- 12 Hawaiian rolls
- 3 cups Pulled pork prepared and shredded
- 1 cup Barbecue sauce Sweet Baby Ray's Hawaiian Barbecue Sauce; may add a bit more or less
- 6 oz Pineapple bits drained
- 8 tbsp Unsalted butter melted
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 6 slices Pepper Jack optional
- 2 tbsp Parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together melted butter and garlic powder until combined.
- In a second bowl, mix 3 cups of prepared pork with 2/3 cup of barbecue sauce. You may opt to add a little more, but keep in mind you don't want soggy sliders.
- Cut the slider buns in half, horizontally, keeping the bottom buns attached and the top buns attached (if possible).
- Place the bottom half of the buns in a baking dish. Brush the bottoms with a bit of butter sauce.
- Layer each bun evenly with the coated pulled pork. Spread the six slices of cheese across the pork so that it is evenly spaced out.
- Evenly distribute the drained pineapple tidbits over the pork so that all sliders have some.
- Place the other half of the buns on top, creating sandwich sliders.
- Brush the remaining butter sauce over the tops of the sliders.
- Optionally, sprinkle parsley over the sliders for added texture and flavor.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the sliders are heated through and the cheese is melted.
- Optional: remove foil and place sliders back in the oven for 2-5 minutes to brown the tops of the sliders a bit.
- Remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. You may need to gently run a knife through the sandwiches – at the natural divisions of the rolls – to ensure the sliders will pull apart easily.
