Buying Deli Ham for These Ham Pineapple Sliders
When it comes to making these ham pineapple sliders, I really recommend the pineapple deli ham IF you can find it! It really puts a finishing touch on these little sandwiches. However, sometimes that variety of ham can be hard to track down. I sometimes can find the Eckrich Hawaiian ham at Kroger.
If you can’t find pineapple ham, no worries. I often use honey ham or Virginia ham if I can’t find the Hawaiian variety.
How to Make Pineapple Ham Sliders with Hawaiian Rolls
First, preheat your oven to 350°F. Then, slice a package of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half of a 9×13 baking dish.
Next, it’s all a process of layering. I layer a piece of the deli ham, then a pineapple ring, and a maraschino cherry onto each bun bottom.
Afterward, I whisk melted butter, teyiyaki sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined. The sauce is then drizzled over each slider stack, evenly distributed.
Then, I sprinkle on some shredded cheddar over the entire tray of sliders.
Finally, I place the bun tops over each slider and brush on a bit more of the teriyaki butter sauce before sprinkling on some sesame seeds.
I cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the sliders are heated through.
Once done, let cool for a few minutes before slicing into individual sliders and serving. These ham pineapple sliders with Hawaiian rolls are perfect for a quick and easy lunch or dinner, and are sure to be a hit at any party!

- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 2 cups Shredded cheddar
- 2 tbsp Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

- Place the bottom half of the buns in a baking dish.
- Layer each bun with a slice of pineapple deli ham, topped with a pineapple ring and a maraschino cherry.
- In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
- Brush the tops of the sliders with the teriyaki brown sugar sauce, ensuring each one is generously coated.
- Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheddar all over the sliders.

- Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds over the sliders for added texture and flavor.
