Little Snowflake Baby Shower Theme for Winter with a Snowman Diaper Cake

Baby shower themes for winter are so easy if you simply incorporate snowflake sugar cookies, a light blue and white color scheme, and a cute snowman diaper cake for the centerpiece! This little snowflake baby shower was so simple to put together in December with all of the snowflake cookies and decor available that time of year.

Making a Snowman Diaper Cake

I kept the diapers (size 2) to two layers so that the styrofoam ball could act as the head (third layer). The styrofoam balls can be found at Walmart or Hobby Lobby, and you can often find several different sizes.

I popped in two pacifiers to act as the buttons. Two sticks from the yard served as the arms with mittens on the end. The hat and mittens were purchased from the dollar store for $1 each. I bought some blue fleece fabric to bunch on the table. I cut off one long piece of it to serve as the snowman’s scarf.

I left the face blank. The diaper cake would have looked a little better with real attached items, though. Next time, I will be sure to be equipped with a carrot nose and buttons to hot glue to the face.

Food Ideas for a Snowflake Baby Shower

We kept the shower food super simple with an assortment of cookies such as chocolate chip and frosted snowflake cookies.

Some other fun ideas for a snowflake party would include this snowman cheese ball and snowman veggie tray. If you would rather keep the snowman diaper cake as your main attraction, you could use snowflake-themed foods to complement, as we did in our winter shower. This sugar cookie dough fudge would be a great shower treat. These snowflake cookies are gorgeous as are these fun pretzel rods.

Of course, my two-ingredient white chocolate popcorn with sprinkles would be a hit for this party as well.

Decor for a Snowflake Baby Shower

We used plastic table cloths since our shower was at an uber casual establishment. But you could dress the tables up or down as much as you want to fit your the mood of your space. Some fun velvety style fabric draped on the table could really jazz up a winter baby shower. I could picture an ombre effect of pink tones with a “snow woman” for baby shower themes for a girl.

We also sprinkled around some sparkly snowflake Christmas ornaments around the tables. Snowflake ornaments can be found at many stores – even dollar stores – during the holiday season for pretty cheap.
