Blueberry Lemonade Cocktail – 5 Versions

If you like blueberries and lemonade, stick around to see all five versions of this blueberry lemonade – yes, I said five! After spending the better part of two years either pregnant or pumping, I had forgotten how refreshing a good fruity cocktail can be. In the month of May, we had four gatherings at our house. Not sure how it happened that we had so many in such a short span, but my husband would probably point his finger my way. When I feel stressed out (hello…the month of May in the teaching world), I find solace in shucking my priorities and planning parties instead.

Blueberry Lemonade – 5 Versions

Blueberry Lemonade - The Gifted Gabber

This is not a sponsored post. I was not compensated nor asked to feature the specific products in this post.

Luckily, Simply Lemonade with Blueberry came to the rescue for all four gatherings.

For an after-school get-together with my pals, I knew I would need something simple that could be thrown together quickly. Through a Southern Living share on Facebook, I found a tasty Spiked Blueberry Lemonade recipe from Krystal’s Kitsch. I rushed into a small grocery store, uncertain that a store of its size would carry Simply Lemonade with Blueberry. Boom. There it was.

Krystal’s recipe was delicious and couldn’t have been easier.

My ingredients (enough for one pitcher):
One part Blueberry Lemonade, chilled
One part champagne, preferably chilled (mine was not)
1 cup blueberries

I added the first two ingredients to a pitcher and stirred. In each glass, I poured the chilled lemonade over fresh blueberries and ice.

I was inspired to tinker around and come up with some other concoctions, based on other fruit and add-ins I had in the kitchen. My lemonade obsession carried on to the chalkboard in our entrance.

For the second gathering, I made the lemonade into more of a wine spritzer.

Blue-Raspberry Lemonade Spritzer

My ingredients (enough for 2 pitchers):
1 bottle Simply Lemonade Blueberry Lemonade, chilled
1 bottle Verdi Raspberry Sparkletini (sparkling wine), chilled
2 cans Sprite, chilled
1 cup blueberries
One lemon, sliced for garnish (optional)

I mixed the first three ingredients together and chilled it for a while. I garnished the glasses with blueberries and lemon slices.

Blue-Raspberry Lemonade Spritzer – Virgin Option

My ingredients (enough for 2 pitchers):
1 bottle Simply Lemonade Blueberry Lemonade, chilled
4 cans Sprite, chilled
1 cup blueberries
One lemon, sliced for garnish (optional)

I mixed the first two ingredients together and chilled it for a few hours. I garnished the glasses with blueberries and lemon slices.

Blueberry-Peach Lemonade Spritzer

My ingredients (enough for 2 pitchers)
1 bottle peach chardonnay (or any peach-flavored wine), chilled
1 bottle Simply Lemonade Blueberry Lemonade, chilled
2 cans Sprite, chilled
1 cup blueberries
1 fresh peach diced (could also use about 1 cup frozen peaches, diced)

I mixed the first three ingredients together and chilled it for a while. I garnished the glasses with blueberries and diced peaches.

Blue-Raspberry Lemonade Sangria

My ingredients (enough for 2 pitchers)
1 bottle Verdi Raspberry Sparkletini (sparkling wine)
1 bottle Simply Lemonade Blueberry Lemonade
2 cans Sprite
1 cup tequila
2 cups mixed berries and sliced lemons

After mixing the first four ingredients together in a tall pitcher, I placed the pitcher in the fridge to chill. The longer the chill, the better so the flavors can get all cozy with each other. Before serving, I added the fruit to the pitcher.

All versions of this blueberry lemonade were well-received. At the last get-together, I also tried out an appetizer idea from my blog buddy Debbie over at Dining with Debbie. These strawberry, mozzarella, and basil kabobs with balsamic glaze were a hit! Pay her a visit for the recipe, and check out all the other awesome strawberry recipes she posted last month.

Hi Krystal! I almost missed this comment completely. I transferred platforms, hosting, and my domain the day before you left this comment, and my blog has been in a MESS this week! Needless to say, I have been quite frazzled!
I found your awesome lemonade on one of those Southern Living round-up posts that was shared by Southern Living on Facebook. I just tried to go back to the SL Facebook page and find it and wasn’t successful. I know that I saw the post either on May 12 or May 13 if that helps you any. Bummer that you didn’t even know about it until now as that feature is definitely something to be proud of and share with your readers! Thanks for sharing that inspirational lemonade!
