Disclosure: This Teachers Night Out post is a sponsored post, meaning I am being compensated for this post. All thoughts are my own.
You know all those memes you’ve seen where the school teacher looks refreshed and vibrant in August and then looks absolutely ragged and decrepit by May?
They are the most true reflection of art imitating life.
This school year…
So many things pop into my mind when I think of this school year.
It’s been enjoyable in as many ways as it’s been a beast.
And how on earth could I have made it without my teacher friends? The bond and laughter with those ladies are the only things that get me through some weeks that have 1,940 days – the weeks where all I want to do is grab my purse and jump out the window.
(My teacher friends say they know I’ve hit my limit when I start talking about getting my purse and jumping out the window.)
I honestly can’t see how anyone can make it through this profession without a teacher tribe. Every teacher needs teacher time to laugh, vent, and tell stories that no one else on the planet would possibly believe or understand.
Speaking of teacher tribe, have you ever checked out my post on the 5 teacher friends every teacher needs?
To bid adios to this school year, I invited my tribe over for some “is it the last day yet?!” teacher talk and some yummy McDonald’s snacks.
There isn’t a whole lot of May school day mayhem that a McDonald’s Apple Pie can’t fix. And the Strawberries and Creme Pies have healing powers, too!
It was my first time to try the new McDonald’s Minute Maid Slushies, and they did not disappoint!
“This is the kind of thing I don’t need to find out about!” said one teacher friend, who was quite impressed with her Orangeade Slushie. I’ve been watching this friend try new beverages for years. We traveled to Russia and China together, and I can vouch that she is quite an ice cream and cold drink connoisseur.
I enjoyed the Orangeade Slushie, but the Cherry Limeade Slushie is my favorite.
You can also choose to try a Minute Maid Fruit Punch Slushie, as well.
Seriously, we have the best time at these teachers night out meet ups! And what makes this teachers night out even sweeter is that we were able to count the days until the last day of school on two hands!
You know those memes where the teachers are more excited for the last day of school than the students?
More truth!
I’ll look forward to lots more fun at teachers night out next school year, but for now…summer is calling!
Don’t forget to enter McDonald’s Summer Slushie Sweepstakes! Enter for a chance to win a trip to Minute Maid Park in Houston to watch the Astros play! Enjoy a two-night stay at the Marriott Marquis, four tickets the Astros game and $500 to spend on travel. What are you waiting for? Enter now!

Girl! Your pictures are amazing! Love this post. My husband is a public school teacher (I used to be) and now I am a homeschool teacher. I should’ve thrown this party for myself! LOL! Maybe next year!
