I’m going to post some of my favorite sweater outfits from my teacher wardrobe and weekend wardrobe for the year. These outfits have a lot more wearability left in them as whatever trends are featured here are still going strong into this coming season. Also, these sweater outfits can carry you from fall into winter into early spring.
It’s been a while since I’ve written a style post for the bloggity blog. It’s funny, too, since when I started this blog, most of my posts were style related. Today, I’ve narrowing down my favorite sweater outfits for fall style or winter style.
Teacher outfits have come a long way, baby! Remember the teacher wardrobe your teachers had when you were in school? Eeesh. I wouldn’t wish some of those looks on my worst enemy!
AND…not only are these teacher outfits (for casual Fridays, particularly), but they are also cute mom outfits. Teacher mom style for the win!
Note that the jeans I used for my flat lays are not the actual jeans I would wear to school due to the extreme rips high in the legs. For school, I simply switched out the jeans for some with no holes.
Some of the outfits as pictured here with the ripped denim are better suited as weekend outfits.
As you plan your teacher wardrobe looks this year, you will want to use my free printable wardrobe planner to stay organized! You can plan for up to six-weeks of outfits at once, and then reuse the calendar for future months!
Sweater Outfits for Your Teacher Wardrobe
I love all the textures here in this casual Friday outfit – the ribbed sweater, the chunky necklace, the perforated gold Oxfords, and the holes in the robin egg blue denim. (Don’t worry, teacher friends, the holes were patched from underneath so they met dress code. Although, I must admit – it still feels odd to wear holes to school even if teacher dress code has catered to it.
I mean you just can’t beat a sassy pair of leopard booties, can you? These are some power punchers for sure.
There’s no beating grandpa cardigans when it comes to comfort! And these Minnetonka mocs…is that teal not to die for?!
This tunic is such a favorite that I have an entire gray and burgundy post dedicated to it. The back has such a fun surprise.

These are really cute. We can’t wear distressed jeans at school, but I could pair them with nice jeans or slacks.

Hi Sonja! Thanks! We are able to wear minimally distressed jeans on casual Fridays (minimal holes below the knees) I usually pair these sweaters with non-distressed jeans or slacks for work and save my distressed jeans for the weekend.
