How to Prepare the Dough for St. Patrick’s Day Pizza
For our St Patrick’s Day pizza crust, we open a package of English muffins and set them out on a cookie sheet. That’s it! The end result will be little English muffin pizzas. Now, you can easily follow the steps for this recipe and switch out the English muffins for a store bought pizza dough. You would just need to cut the pizza dough into smaller individual circles for personal homemade pizzas. You could also make French bread pizza by slicing French bread into smaller pieces. Note that baking times would vary if you were to change this recipe from the English muffin pizza crust to one of these other ideas.
If you prefer to make homemade pizza dough, you can certainly do that.
Once you find your perfect base for the bottom, you are ready to customize your toppings!
Pizza Toppings to add to the Pizza Base
Place dough of your choice on a sheet pan. Over top, you will add your pizza sauce. For St. Paddy’s Day (St. Patty’s Day?), we use a green pesto for a green pizza. However, you can easily use this same recipe all year and just forego the shamrock shaped pizza. Just use your favorite tomato sauce or red pizza sauce.
The sky is the limit as to what type of pizza toppings to add.
