Why We Love Monster Teeth Jello Shots
We love our monster teeth Jello shots because it combines a classic favorite with whimsical Halloween colors in a cheeky Halloween theme. My pals – from young adult up to older adult – seem to love a good Jello shot every now and again!
Ingredients and Supplies
- 1 package of Orange Jello – 3 ounce
- 1 package of Grape Jello – 3 ounce
- 1 package of Lime Jello – 3 ounce
- Water – See instructions
- 1 cup of Vanilla Vodka – divided – see instructions
- 2 packages of Gummy Monster Teeth (See below)
- Plastic shot cups – 2 ounce
Preparing These Halloween Jello Shots
You simply need to follow standard directions for Jello shots (see our recipe card below) to make the base Jello shots.
Note that we are using three different flavors/colors of Jello so you will repeat the steps three times to make three different colors of shots. Of course, this is not absolutely necessary. I wanted to have the three main bright Halloween colors: green, orange, and purple. But you could easily just make one color/flavor.
Garnish Jello Shots with Monster Teeth
All you need is 1-2 packages of gummy monster teeth. Adding these special little gems take these monster teeth Jello shots for Halloween from wow to wowzers!
I used two different types of the gummy candy for extra big impact. One set of gummy teeth goes inside the Jello mixture in the 2 ounce plastic shot cups. The other colorful gummy teeth sets on top of the shots. (Order early since they aren’t on Prime!) You could easily use just one set – either set in the Jello or to place on top. Personally, I think the ones on the inside of the Jello have the bigger impact.
Substitutions, Prep, and Storage of Monster Teeth Jello Shots
- Replace the vodka with equal cold water or a citrus-flavored soda for a refreshing, non-alcoholic alternative.
- Add a splash of citrus by incorporating orange or lime zest to the jello mixture for a citrusy twist.
- Keep shots refrigerated in an airtight container. Ensure they are well-covered to prevent any odors from the fridge from affecting their taste. Consume within 2-3 days for the best quality.
- If you need to adjust the consistency or serve them slightly chilled, remove from the refrigerator about 15 minutes before serving.
