The holiday season is on its way! What better way to celebrate than with bright, colorful, and cheery Merry and Bright Christmas decor? This year, I’m showing my favorite Christmas color schemes of them all – skipping the traditional red and green color scheme and opting for vibrant hues like hot pink, turquoise, and electric blue.
These pops of bright colors offer a playful and modern touch to a Christmas home. From colorful Christmas trees and wreaths to bold and bright ornaments and garlands, there are endless ways to incorporate this festive and fun decor trend into your home. So, get ready to deck the halls with a pop of color and embrace the spirit of the season with Merry and Bright Christmas decor!
Go big or go home! That’s what I say when it comes to color! It made my heart so happy to infuse my home with citron, bold greens, bright pinks, light pinks, reds, teals, and other shades of blue!
Merry and Bright Christmas Decor in Living Room
Let’s start with the mantle. The year before last when I found these knitted colorful stockings from Target, my heart fluttered in ways I didn’t know it could! These knitted stockings are from the Opalhouse (Jungalow) line at Target – which just so happens to be one of my favorite home decor lines found in a large retail chain. There is a spectacular citron color that I love. Unfortunately, I didn’t stumble upon these stockings until the citron was sold out!
On the mantle, I put up my modern red reindeer in front of a large wood and metal mirror. My collection of bottle brush trees made it back onto the mantle this year – for the third or fourth time. But this year, rather than mixing all the colors together, I separated the colors. And then I criss-crossed the stocking colors underneath. So the side of the mantle with the blue and green tress had the purple and pink stockings. The side of the mantle with the pink and red trees had the green and blue knit stockings.
Other adornments for our Merry and Bright Christmas decor mantle were a small global felt wreath and some felt garlands – all from Home Goods.
One medium sized pencil tree and a second petite pencil tree flank the rectangular-shaped living room.
Merry and Bright Christmas Decor in Dining Room
The dining room is where I put my big felt Christmas trees as a centerpiece. This year, I had a new dining room sidebar table and a new small round bar cart. New fun things to decorate that I didn’t have before! I had fun!
A Merry and Bright Christmas Kitchen
The kitchen only gets a few touches. I feel like a kitchen gets easily overwhelmed with holiday decor. And decor can easily cross the “clutter-y” line once all the food and serving pieces come out onto the counters.
