The leaves are turning and it times to gear up for those gorgeous fall family photo sessions! Today, I’m sharing our fall family photos with leather leggings outfit ideas for moms and daughters! I’m not typically an all-black girl, but I really had fun playing around with black leather leggings outfits to get my final look here. Granted, some of our leather leggings outfits are actually faux leather leggings outfit ideas. But they are cute nonetheless! I hope you can use these black, red, and white outfits as inspiration for your own coordinating fall family outfits, holiday photo outfits, or winter family outfits!
As usual, we enlisted our favorite Arkansas photographer, Lori Sparkman, to do our fall family photos. She is truly the best photographer in Arkansas! All photos on this post are copyrighted to Lori Sparkman Photography.
Mom’s Faux Leather Leggings Outfit Ideas
As I mentioned, I’m not typically one for wearing all black outfits. I’m a color girl. And big color at that. But for a different type of look, I decided to play around with the all black vibe this time. I really like it for a change!
My faux leather leggings are the 3/4 length from Zyia Active. I ordered them when a friend of mine was working as a rep there. Just as always, I needed my faux leather leggings petite size since I am only five feet tall. The big issue for us petite ladies is the crotch when it comes to leggings. If you don’t watch out, you can find yourself wearing a seemingly nice pair of leggings with the crotch dangling down by your knees! Choose carefully, petite friends! I also have the Spanx faux leather leggings, and they fit in a similar way to my Zyia ones. And these lizard-print petite faux leather leggings are fire! I buy the 25 length, and I wear them all the time – dressed up or dressed down!
My black high-low blouse is a nice sheer fabric that brings a dressy touch to this leather leggings outfit! It comes up multiple color options. My white ankle boots add a fun pop of contrast to the all-black look.
Husband’s Black and White Family Outfits Look
My husband’s outfit always comes together at the very end. To coordinate with the red, black and white outfits the girls I selected, the Hubs grabbed his black puffer vest and a black and white pinstriped button up from his closet. He added a pair of dark jeans and his black leather Bed Stu boots.
Easy peasy, this guy.
The Girls Shiny Leather Leggings Outfits
For the girls faux leather leggings outfits, I chose these faux leather leggings from a local boutique, This Little Piggy, in Benton, Arkansas. For the purpose of this post, I have found some very similar pieces on Amazon. I liked the metallic pop of LO’s metallic leggings. They gave a bit of depth to our black, white and red outfits! SB’s red faux leather leggings were one of my favorite elements of our coordinated outfits.
SB’s western style booties were also from that same boutique. LO’s glitter booties were from Old Navy. I found a similar pair of glittery booties to link up here. We do not own this pair so I cannot verify, but the description claims the glitter is mess-free and will not rub off. I do have this pair in our shopping cart so I can let you know soon enough! I can assure you one of the biggest parenting fails you will make is bringing glitter-dropping shoes and clothing into your home!
And both of the cropped sweaters were from Target. Here is a knitted cardigan for girls that comes in various colors.
