The 4th of July holiday season is on its way! What better way to celebrate than with bright, colorful, and patriotic Fourth of July home decor? This year, I’m showing some of our recent Fourth of July home decor from the inside of my home.
From rag flags to sparkly picks in vases, there are endless ways to incorporate this festive and fun decor trend into your home. So, get ready to deck the halls with a pop of patriotism and embrace the spirit of the season!
To be completely transparent, I almost didn’t post these photos because I don’t like the way my living room rug clashes against the red, white, and blue. However, I do love the patriotic vignettes so much, I decided to go ahead and make the post. It simply isn’t always practical to switch your rugs out to perfectly complement all your seasonal decor. This is why many prefer a neutral rug.
But…I am a color girl who loves pattern, you know!
Fourth of July Home Decor in Living Room
Let’s start with the mantle. I decided to leave my large tobacco basket up and decorate with it by adding a fun vintage-y rag flag from Pretties and Grace in Benton, Arkansas.
To further adorn the mantle, I change outfits for some of my plants and popped them into red and white pots that I already had. I added a small rattan blue star and a string of wooden stars from Hobby Lobby.
To dress the front of the hearth, I added an Old Glory pillow, also from Pretties and Grace. My ceramic glazed blue pot from a local nursery was the perfect outfitting for my living room palm.
Over the TV console is a long dough bowl. I added red and blue plaid stars from Hobby Lobby. These little star fillers are perfect for adding to vases, to jars, to dough bowls – to any open vessel for easy Fourth of July home decor!
At the back of the living room, I added a few more touches such as a USA pillow – which was another find at Pretties and Grace – and another July 4th plant vignette made from a simple red star placed beside a blue pot.
Fourth of July Home Decor in Dining Room
The dining room is where I really had a lot of fun with my Fourth of July home decor! My sweet LO got into the spirit of things and wanted to help with the decorations.
The cute melamine patriotic popsicle plates are from Home Goods. I chose those so I could leave them out all summer if I so desired. Also, they have a fun whimsical vibe to them which I prefer for my house.
A Patriotic Fourth of July Kitchen
The kitchen only gets a few touches. I feel like a kitchen gets easily overwhelmed with holiday decor. And decor can easily cross the “clutter-y” line once all the food and serving pieces come out onto the counters.
For the buffet counter in the breakfast nook, I pulled together a few of my favorite plant babies and dressed them in additional pots I already had in patriotic colors. A few more star fillers completes the look.
