Hi, guys! Today, let’s discuss my newest party food recipe. This delicious dill pickle dip recipe is a hit! It brings to mind a fried pickle, and it can be whipped up in around 5 minutes!
I don’t even like pickles all that much, but I can tell you this dill pickle dip is going in my appetizer food rotation. It is the perfect game day dip or cookout dip!
Last week, a friend of mine made a dill pickle soup for dinner. Initially, her family groaned and thought the soup sounded like a crazy idea. However, hours later, with hot soup in front of them, they were singing a different tune. Apparently, the dill pickle soup was delicious.
Yesterday, as I peeked in my fridge looking to throw together a quick dip for a cookout with neighbors, I almost made my go to bbq dip for potato chips. And I knew I didn’t have enough time to make my loaded baked potato dip. But then a container of pickles caught my eye, and I thought of my friend’s dill pickle soup. Therefore, I decided to follow similar steps to making my bbq dip chip but with a fried dill pickle dip vision in mind for a unique tortilla or potato chip dip.
Earlier that day, at our local Vintage Market Days of Little Rock, I bought some new seasonings from the cutest vendor out of Las Vegas. For my dip, I used the Spicy Garlic Pepper seasoning from Mia’s Ohh So Good Seasoning line. I had just bought and wanted to try it out.
For my dill pickle dip recipe, you can easily substitute garlic, cayenne pepper, and black pepper in place of the Spicy Garlic Pepper. I do suggest using chunkier, coarser pepper and garlic spices, if you have them, rather than the fine seasonings. Chunky red pepper flakes would also be a great addition. But if all you have is the fine seasoning, that should work with no problem, too. Oh, and color. Choose seasonings that will add color.
When served with tortilla chips or potato chips, the crunchiness marries well with the sharp dill taste to become a sort of fried pickle dip taste explosion.
This easy dill pickle dip recipe will please your pickle-loving friends and family! And even the people that aren’t huge pickle fans, like myself, might just go for a second dip, too!
