Served a la mode fashion, these air fryer peaches with ice cream couldn’t be any easier! You don’t even have to remove the skin. With a bit of cinnamon and butter, these roasted peaches can be made in advance and reheated and topped with ice cream when you are ready to serve.
This easy air fried peaches with ice cream recipe will have you heading to the peach patch! Or maybe the farmer’s market. Or maybe the grocery store. Wherever you prefer to buy peaches, just buy them and get going on this easy roasted peaches in the air fryer recipe.
I grew up picking peaches at the peach patch. This summer, my parents kept my girls for a week and took them to pick peaches at the peach patch also – their maiden voyage!
My girls came back home with bags of peaches, and I knew just the recipe to make. I’ve experimented with grocery store peaches in the air fryer, and I’ve made roasted peaches in the oven. But this was the first time I knew the exact type of peaches I was using my air fryer peaches recipe. The peaches used in this recipe are Majestic peaches. I have also made this recipe with the Red Globe peaches my parents get from their local peach patch. However, other varieties of peaches should work.
Why We Love Air Fryer Desserts
Sometimes in summer, it isn’t practical to crank up the grill when you don’t have multiple things to grill. The same with the oven. Some people feel using the oven on a hot summer day makes the air conditioner have to work harder to keep the house cool.
Enter the air fryer!
We all know I love a good air fryer dessert. I mean my air fryer blueberry fried pies are off the chain! And if you haven’t tried them to verify my claim, you should definitely add that to your agenda for the week.
Toppings for Air Fryer Peaches
The sky is the limit with toppings for air fried peaches.
- Cool Whip
- Honey
- Chocolate syrup
- Chopped nuts
- Caramel
- Ice Cream
- Graham cracker crumbs
- Granola
- Sprinkles
I’m a big fan of using vanilla ice cream on air fryer peaches. I mean peaches and cream is a thing for a reason, right? The flavor combination of peaches and vanilla ice cream is perfection.
My husband prefers his ice cream scoop go to the side of his roasted or baked peach. This is because the warm roasted peach melts the ice cream really fast when the ice cream is on top. This is typical with any a la mode type of dessert. For me, I am fine with the ice cream melting. I like my peaches a la mode with the ice cream scoop on top.
Making Air Fryer Roasted Peaches in Advance for Easy Dessert
If you’ve grilled peaches or made roasted peaches in the oven, the concept is very similar with these peaches in the air fryer. You will get a bit of caramelization near the edges with the tangy-sweet flavor on the inside of the peaches.
What I really like about air fryer peaches (or baked peaches or grilled peaches) is that you can make them in advance. You can make them the night before or the afternoon of your dinner. Store them in the refrigerator in an air-tight container. When ready to serve, pop them in the microwave for 20-30 seconds until they are warm. Immediately top with the ice cream and a sprinkling of graham cracker crumbs or granola.
