What We Wore: Summer Rewind

I realized when writing the New Orleans post the other day that I had never included the dress I wore that weekend on my What We Wore feature. It’s like I completely blanked after returning from New Orleans on making any kind of timely post concerning that weekend. Better late than never, I suppose! Since it was actually one of my favorite outfits this pregnancy, I hate to not include it.

Since the trip fell during the last weekend of June, I am only about 20 weeks pregnant in this set of photos. You’ll see me looking big as a whale again next week.

The dress is not meant to be a maternity dress, but due to its roomy nature, it works well. Although I have intentions to rid myself of the majority of clothing I wore while pregnant as soon as I can, I think I may hang on to this one and ask my mom to take it in a little on the sides for next spring/summer. You know…just to make me feel a little better about wearing it post pregnancy.

I had brought my dress with me to NOLA after having purchased it at one of my new favorite boutiques – McLain & Co. in Benton. My best friend Jenny is wearing a super cute dress that she bought earlier that day in NOLA at a store called Lindsey’s. I bought a similar one there which I featured in my What We Wore post a few weeks ago.

On a complete side note…geez, my husband is hot!

Speaking of summer flashbacks, last year, my super talented Mom made SB two outfits and a hair bow from some fabric I had purchased to dress a table for a baby shower. I was thrilled this summer when I discovered that the outfits still fit SB! She is twenty-one months old in the photos featured here.
