It’s been one of those weekends that is just so jam-packed full of family fun and goodness that you are glad when it comes to an end. Between our girls’ double birthday party, a photo session, and a big Halloween/fall festival at our church, it has been one crazy weekend. Not to mention that we had five house guests staying with us this weekend. Our house was not short on stimulation this weekend!
Loved it all, but now glad for a few minutes of calm and quiet before the hectic work week starts in…oh say…six hours. Yikes! Who needs sleep, right?
All the events of this chaotic weekend shared one not-so-thrilling factor: rain. Lots and lots of rain. It finally felt like fall, too, with wind and a chilliness in the air that called for jackets.
I had the opportunity to break out my new pink jacket courtesy of Sammy Dress. I have never been much of a pink girl. However, I do remember in my early 20s that my roommate returned from a trip to New York City with a fabulous pink trench coat for me. I loved it. But then, after a couple of years, it met the fate of so many of my clothes: the donation pile.
Although this pink jacket is lightweight, it does remind me of a slightly oversized version of that other pink coat.
We had the double-family photo shoot with my family and my best friend’s family on Sunday morning. As always, Megan Hampel worked magic with the camera! Check her out at Megan Hampel Photography!
Yay for pom poms!
Since I rarely wear pink, I feel kind of sassy and playful wearing this jacket.
My sweet Little One was cutting another tooth this weekend and was a grump during most of our festivities. And then her silly mama tortured her with a photo session on top of it.
But isn’t she the cutest little grump you ever did see?

Join us each week as I share our mommy-daughter style. I am no fashion expert, but creating and sharing our everyday looks pieced from upscale boutiques, my mama’s sewing table, discount stores, and big box departments stores is great fun for me.
