Today, I’m sharing our spring teal dresses. The fact that it is finally spring means that we get to wear pieces that have been burning a hole in our closets for months now. Being a bargain shopper, I am more concerned with catching a great deal on things than I have with “it” items. I would rather buy a piece that was last year’s hot item and wear it this year than blow a ton of money on “it” items that we will only wear a few times, in most instances.
So last August and September, I ransacked my favorite boutiques – both local and online – to get some cute coordinating and matching things for the girls to wear this spring and summer. And I stocked up on a ton of adorable things.
Y’all, shopping so that two sisters can coordinate can be a rather pricey effort!
Anyway, I found these sweet little tulle dresses with a lace overlay top at Sparkle in Pink. Normally, I coordinate the girls’ outfits but don’t actually go matchy-matchy. This time, I couldn’t pass up buying one for each of them. I even got my niece one. For months, I’ve eyeballed these fun spring teal dresses in our closets but had to wait to wear them.
Too bad neither girl will cooperate for the camera at the same time. Makes me question why I bother with matching looks when they won’t pose together!
Here is the best I could do to get both Scooter Britches and Little One in the same picture. Now that LO is on the move, I am constantly chasing her down for pictures!
Scooter Britches has grumpy tendencies. Sometimes, you just have to force a smile out of her with a good ole’ tickle session.
I also found my dress on a post-season clearance during my first visit to Unique Boutique. I love the fuchsia and teal combo and the fact that it has pockets.
What’s a dress without pockets, these days?
