Sweetheart Surprise Smoothie – Cooking with Kids

This Valentine’s Day, we went against the normal sugar-filled treats in favor of a big Sweetheart Surprise Smoothie to share.

With all the smoothie recipes out there, I thought it would be easy to find something that matched what I already had in the kitchen. But no. In the end, I wound up finding a Betty Crocker recipe which I adapted a bit to meet the ingredients we already had in our kitchen.

I was so proud of how the little princesses took turns with no very little fighting.

Our Sweetheart Surprise Smoothie turned out pretty darn yummy.

The little princesses sure thought they hit the spot!

Sweetheart Surprise Smoothies – Cooking with Kids

Prep Time: 3 minutes

Cook Time: 2 minutes

Yield: 1 large glass

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen peaches halves
  • 1 small banana
  • 1/2 cup orange juice

Instructions

  1. Combine all frozen fruit to blender.
  2. Add banana.
  3. Pour juice over fruit.
  4. Blend until smooth.
  5. Pour into cold mug or glass.
