It dawned on me that I never shared my blue crepe dress which I wore to our class reunion.
This dress is such an airy, breezy dress. Our class reunion was not an overly formal affair. Simple dresses were definitely favorable over stuffy, heavy cocktail dresses given the humid 100 degree Arkansas weather in July.
The blue crepe dress is from one of my favorite shops – Altar’d State. Have you ever been into an Altar’d State store? It is an amazing store with mega Christian vibes – from the unique clothing to the scriptured artwork to the Christian music playing on the speakers. I can browse in this beautifully decoranplace all day long. And the online store/website even has a place to enter prayer requests and information on the missions benefitting from the sales at Altar’d State. The store has such a positive energy.
This blue crepe dress, with its crocheted neckline and vibrant hue is definitely worth hanging onto for future events, but the shoes are probably my favorite piece to the whole outfit. Do you guys know how hard it is for this gal to find comfy heels? I have short but somewhat wide feet – especially in the toe area. The straps of so many strappy heels cut right into my toes. I tried on these shoes at The Painted Butterfly without really having a lot of faith given all the shoe let downs of late, and they fit beautifully! They are also plenty versatile enough for so many of my other outfits.
The bag was purchased during the store closing sale of one of my favorite local boutiques. Man, was I bummed when my store closed! It’s kind of like when your favorite TV show comes to an end. You can go on, but life just isn’t quite the same.
Unfortunately, my pretty silver bangle set was left behind when I packed to leave town. I had to make the only bracelets I had in my bag work with the outfit. I prefer the silver in the top picture for this look.
